The Department of General Practice offers a Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Primary Care Nursing which enables nurses working in general practice to provide comprehensive and evidence-based care in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, women’s health, youth health and chronic conditions. You will learn strategies for health promotion in a primary care setting and research and evaluation skills.
Find out more about the program on the Department of General Practice website.
We recognise the Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Care Nursing (PDPCN) for the purpose of granting credit for the Master of Advanced Nursing Practice (MANP). If you complete the PDPCN you can apply for entry to the second year of the MANP.
Through the Community Access Program (CAP) you have the opportunity to enrol in a single primary care nursing subject for general interest or to enhance your career development. CAP students are enrolled alongside certificate and diploma students during the semester.
Applications are through the Department of General Practice. For further information please contact Bernie Cooper on +61 3 8344 7275.
