Local students (Australian and New Zealand citizens, Australian Permanent Residents and holders of a permanent humanitarian visa) are offered graduate research places under the Research Training Scheme (RTS). The RTS provides Commonwealth-funded places to Australian residents and New Zealand citizens in a research higher degree with an 'entitlement' to a HECS exemption for the duration of an accredited research course.
International students are enrolled on a fee-paying basis. Fees vary between disciplines and, for each year of study, graduate research students are charged the fee applicable to a full-time enrolment of 100 credit points of EFTSL.
