Expand your horizons by studying a single subject via CAP. The Community Access Program (CAP) provides the opportunity to enrol in a single nursing subject to study for general interest or to enhance your career development. CAP students attend the same classes as degree students during semester.
Most non-clinical nursing subjects are available through CAP, provided the stated prerequisites and/or co-requisites for the chosen subject have been completed.
Subjects from our entry-to-practice Master of Nursing Science would be of interest to graduates of other disciplines who are considering a career in nursing. Undertaking a single nursing subject allows you to gain an insight into the profession before committing to enrolling in the degree. Subjects successfully completed and assessed through CAP can be credited into the Master of Nursing Science.
Subjects from our specialty and advanced practice diplomas and degrees are available to registered nurses seeking further professional development. A single-subject enrolment enables you to access the latest research and knowledge in a particular subject area without enrolling in a full course.
Subjects successfully completed and assessed through CAP can be considered for credit into the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Practice or Master of Advanced Nursing Practice, depending on the subject/s undertaken.
For a list of nursing subjects please search the University's Course and Subject Handbook. Select the 'subjects' search option and type 'nursing' into the search field.
